Days of Our Lives RECAP Friday, September 28: John and Hattie Are Married, Kristen Finds Marlena

Days of Our Lives’  Ciara (Victoria Konefal) is starting out the door, Tripp (Lucas Adams) asks if she’s going somewhere. Ciara has packed up all of Ben’s (Robert Scott Wilson) stuff; she wants no sign of him in the apartment.  Tripp tells Ciara she was a victim.  The smoke alarm starts going off, and Ciara is terrified.  The toaster set off the fire alarm due to burning toast. Ciara was in the process of making breakfast for Tripp.

Ciara Gets Rid Of Ben’s Stuff

Ciara tells Tripp she swore not to get close to someone who could hurt her again. Tripp tells Ciara that Ben fooled a lot of people including Abigail.  Tripp would have handled things differently if he had known about Ciara’s past.  Ciara tells Tripp she was not herself with him.  Ciara says people treat her like a snowflake now.  Tripp knows Ciara is grateful to Ben, but she never needed saving.  Tripp tells Ciara she is brave and strong.  Tripp couldn’t give up on Ciara. Ciara tells Tripp she just felt gratitude for Ben, she kisses Tripp.  Ciara tells Tripp she pushed him away to protect herself.  Ciara asks Tripp to take her to his room.

Rafe Believes Hope

Days of Our Lives’  Rafe (Galen Gering) checks in with Shawn  (Brandon Beemer) who is trying to authenticate Ben’s fingerprint on the accelerate can. Rafe tells Hope that Shawn is helping him with Ben’s case.  Hope (Kristian Alfonso) is furious that Rafe has Shawn helping with Ben’s case.  Hope questions if Rafe thinks she planted evidence.  Rafe tells Hope that someone else could have planted that evidence and he is trying to protect her.  Hope swears that she didn’t plant that evidence.  Rafe tells Hope that he believes her. Hope thanks Rafe for believing in her. Shawn calls and tells Rafe someone planted the evidence.

John Needs Marlena To Get Well

Days of Our Lives’  John (Drake Hogestyn) is with Marlena (Deidre Hall); he has brought her pictures of the family.  John is afraid he might not be there when she wakes up. John says his heart is breaking living out this lie, but he will do whatever it takes to give her time to come back.  John hopes he isn’t making a terrible mistake. Roman (Josh Taylor) joins him and asks if there is any change.  Roman tells John the specialist is seeing Paul.  John asks Roman if he was wrong going against the advanced directive.

John can’t imagine Marlena being ok with him marrying Hattie.  John tells Roman about Hattie’s (Deidre Hall) demands.  John is worn out trying to fix this.  Roman tells John to marry Hattie in Marlena’s place.  Roman stays with Marlena and tells her about the wedding and that it’s going to be fake from the start.  Roman tells Marlena he will be back, he has to check on Paul for John.  Roman tells Marlena to wake up, they all need her. Marlena wakes up as Kristen discovers her location and come into her room.

Belle Gets Abe To Perform The Ceremony

Days of Our Lives’  Belle (Martha Madison)  approaches Abe (James Reynolds) about marrying John and “Marlena.”  Abe questions the timing. Abe is surprised that Marlena is ok with this wedding.  Belle says Marlena might want a big wedding again later.  Belle tells Abe she is trying to make her mom happy.  Abe agrees to perform the ceremony.

Sami Is Locked Up In Kristen’s Place

Days of Our Lives’  Stefan (Tyler Christopher) goes to take Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) food and finds Sami (Alison Sweeney) there.  Stefan demands to know how Sami got in there.  Sami tells she knows he is hiding Kristen. Sami tells Stefan that Kristen locked her in there and demands to know where she is now. Sami realizes that Stefan is telling the truth and rushes out to find Kristen. Sami goes back to the mansion and demands answers from Stefan.

Abe Shows Up To Marry John And “Marlena”

Days of Our Lives’ Hattie is waiting for John to get there for the wedding when Kristen walks into the room. Hattie tries to convince Kristen that she isn’t Marlena. Kristen demands to know where Marlena is and points the gun at Hattie again. John goes to Hattie’s room, and she is hiding under the covers.  Kristen threatened Hattie is she told John she was there.  Hattie had her marriage license sent and makes John sign it. Belle and Abe show up for the wedding.  John tells Abe that “Marlena” isn’t herself. Abe begins the ceremony.  Sami comes in and interrupts the ceremony. John tries to stop Sami from going after Kristen, but she says someone has to stop her and leaves. Abe pronounces John and Hattie man and wife.
