Days of Our Lives RECAP Friday, June 22: Lani Gets Devastating Baby News, Heartbreak For Gabi

“Days Of Our Lives” (DOOL) recap for Friday, June 22, 2018,  Chad (Billy Flynn) tells Kate (Lauren Koslow) about his new job, she says he can’t take it.

Will Chad Betray Sonny?

Kate tells Chad it’s about loyalty. Chad wants to make Stefan (Tyler Christopher) pay and this is it. Kate tries to talk Chad out of going to work for Titan, his hate for Stefan isn’t worth it. Kate tells Chad she believes Leo’s (Greg Rikaart) story and Titan could go down.

Chad will destroy Leo and anyone working with him, Kate tells him Leo works for her and she orchestrated the lawsuit against Titan. Chad is furious at Kate, who blames it on Vivian (Louise Sorel). Chad wants to part of this and tells Kate he is going to tell Sonny (Freddie Smith).

Kate tries to use Abigail (Marci Miller) to get Chad to stick with her. Kate needs Chad to see the bigger picture, he refuses to drag Sonny’s name through the mud. Kate tells Chad Sonny will be reinstated and he will be without a job.

Chad says he will find another way and mentions that power. Chad says he will be betraying his best friend, Stefan, and Stefano (Joe Mascolo) would do it. Kate pulls out Stefano’s ring and tells Chad to never forget he is Stefano’s son.

Chad wants to know why Kate has Stefano’s ring, she explains that Andre (Thaao Penghlis) had it. Kate tells Chad he is the new Phoenix and he needs to stay at Titan and do what needs to be done. Kate promises to make the lawsuit disappear, Chad needs to put that ring on his finger and be the man he was meant to be. Sonny tries to call Chad, he hangs up and accepts Stefano’s ring instead.

Stefan Changes Terms On Eve

Days of Our Lives’ Stefan is on the phone with Kayla (Mary Beth Evans), Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Eve (Kassie DePaiva) show up. Stefan says he wants to bury Kate, Eve and Brady want to know why. Stefan claims Kate murdered Vivian, Brady and Eve are there to finalize a deal, not go after Kate.

Stefan has changed the deal and is called out on it. Stefan wants to buy Basic Black and tries to push Brady and Eve into selling it to him, these are his terms take it or leave it. Eve says Stefan is underhanded but Brady doesn’t think this is a bad move.

Brady argues they will be free of Bella and Titan and therefore Theresa (Jen Lilley). Stefan wants to know if Eve is ready to sign the papers, she refuses without having her attorney look over them. Stefan is talking to Stefano’s picture and tells him Chad is coming after him with everything he has, Gabi (Camille Banus) says he’s not the only one.

J.J. Blames Himself For Lani’s Baby’s Death

Days of Our Lives’ Theresa is on the phone, Brady and Eve will never know what hit them. J.J.(Casey Moss) is upset about towels on the floor, but it’s really about the baby. Theresa think J.J. is mad at her over kicking him out yesterday to talk to Brady.

J.J. tells Theresa that Lani (Sal Stowers) lost the baby. J.J. feels like it’s his fault Lani lost the baby because he laid a guilt trip on her because of the lie. Theresa tells J.J. this was not his fault, Lani doesn’t blame him, does she? J.J. doesn’t know, Lani was asleep when he left.

Theresa tells J.J. that he did everything he could to help Lani no matter how much it hurt him. Theresa says she has a big surprise in store for Brady and Eve.   Theresa is suing to full custody of Tate (Colin and Kyle Schroeder).

Eli Questions How To Move On

Days of Our Lives’ Valerie (Vanessa Williams) brings Eli (Lamon Archey) coffee, he refuses it and says Lani doesn’t know about the baby yet. Eli wants to know where they go from here, Valerie tells him to take one step at a time. Eli wants to know how to help Lani. Valerie tells him Lani will work through this. Abe (James Reynolds) talks to Valerie about being a police officer and delivering bad news, but now their heart aches for their children.

Eli Tells Lani The Baby Died

Days of Our Lives’ Lani wakes up as Abe sits with her and questions his look of sadness. Abe tells Lani she almost died last night, she remembers being in labor and asks about the baby. Lani asks if the baby is already and begs Abe to let her it.

Abe goes out and asks Valerie’s opinion about telling Lani, Eli says he will tell her, it needs to come from him. Eli promised to be there for Lani and she will need them all, right now it has to be him.

Eli goes into Lani’s room alone. Lani asks Eli if they are bringing the baby. Eli tells Lani the baby was a boy but there were complications and the baby didn’t make it, he holds her as she sobs. Lani demands to see the baby.

Ari Wants Nothing To Do With Gabi

Days Of Our Lives’ Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) is talking to Sonny about Victor’s (John Aniston) choices. Sonny supports Victor hiring Chad, they need to stabilize the company and he’s perfect for it. Gabi comes and Sonny gets up to welcome her home.

Gabi tells Sonny that it came out that Wanda killed Diane (Cassandra Creech) and got caught because she bragged too much. Maggie goes to get Ari (Harper and Sydney Udell) for Gabi. Gabi is thrilled to be out but she is still angry at the people who put her in prison. Gabi is furious at Abigail too and Sonny tried to convince her of that.

Ari wants nothing to do with Gabi, she hates her. Sonny tells Ari that is no way to speak to her mother. Gabi says it is ok and promises to never leave again, Ari calls her a liar and says she doesn’t believe her. Sonny takes the blame for Ari’s reaction and tells Gabi to take some time for herself. Gabi tells Sonny he isn’t his fault or Will’s (Chandler Massey) but it is someone’s fault and he is going to pay.
