Days of Our Lives RECAP Friday, August 31: Paul And Kristen Fall Out The Window

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) recap for Friday, August 31, 2018 reveals,  John (Drake Hogestyn) is still waiting on word from Marlena (Deidre Hall). John is so distracted he burns himself with hot coffee.

Marlena Isn’t Out Of The Woods Yet

John begs Marlena to be ok. Steve (Stephen Nichols) joins John. John says he should be on the table, not Marlena. John wishes Sami (Alison Sweeney) had shot him instead. Steve tries to assure John. Steve believes Marlena will be ok. John says it seems like every minute is an hour. John thinks Marlena should have been out of surgery by now. Steve goes to check with the nurse, Kayla walks in. John asks how Marlena is, Kayla doesn’t look hopeful. Marlena is stable but not out of the woods yet.

A bullet fragment is too close to Marlena’s heart. They plan to let Marlena recover and do another surgery. John asks Steve to update everyone for him. Steve tells John to let Marlena know they will see her soon. John goes to Marlena’s room. John is so proud of Marlena for fighting. He is in this every step of the way with her. John tells Marlena she isn’t fighting alone, her kids and everyone who love her are struggling too. John hugs her and cries.

Will Chooses Sonny

Days of Our Lives’ Will (Chandler Massey) tells Sonny (Freddie Smith) he has to see Ari (Harper and Sydney Udell). Sonny wants to continue their conversation. Will and Sonny agree that it’s complicated. Sonny wants to know if there is a chance for them. Will isn’t ready to make plans for the future yet. Sonny knows it’s complicated. Sonny needs Will to know how he feels. Sonny tells him it was a miracle getting Will back. Sonny has never stopped loving Will. Will has to get back to the hospital.

Ari comes down and calls to Will. Will is crying, and Ari wonders why he is sad. Will tells Ari he remember her now. Will tells Ari about holding her when she was born. Will has loved her from the second he met her. Ari hugs Will and tells him she loves him too. Will tells Ari he loves her more than he did yesterday. Will and Sonny tuck Ari into bed. Will wants to answer Sonny’s question. Will says these emotions are overwhelming. Will hasn’t felt these feelings in years.

Will’s love for Ari, Sonny says and your love for me. Will hasn’t been confronting his feelings because of what it means to him and Paul. Will cannot deny his love for Sonny. Sonny and Will kiss. Will can’t believe how long Sonny has waited to hear this. Sonny is Will’s husband and always will be. Will has to break Paul’s heart but can’t and won’t deny his love for Sonny. Sonny asks Will what they are going to do.

Hope Issues An APB For Sami

Days of Our Lives’ Hope (Kristian Alfonso) finds Rafe (Galen Gering) knocked out on the floor. Rafe finally regains consciousness. Sami knocked him out with a coffee. Hope gives Rafe ice to go on his head. Hope issues an APB for Sami and lists her as dangerous.

Sami is not at the hospital. Hope tells Rafe that Marlena is out of surgery and stable. Rafe says Sami won’t stop until she finds E.J. (ex-James Scott) Rafe says Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) wants Brady (Eric Martsolf). Hope and Rafe agree that Brady is in danger. Doug (Bill Hayes) and Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) tell Hope and Rafe about Eve (Kassie DePaiva).

Paul And Sami Join Forces

Days of Our Lives’ Paul (Christopher Sean) finds Sami in Brady’s room. Sami tells Paul that Kristen has Brady somewhere. Sami and Paul find a flower from the wedding. Sami tells Paul that Kristen raved that she should be marrying Brady. Eve joins them, and they track Eve’s phone to the inn. Eve goes looking, Sami wants to join. Paul tells Sami she isn’t going anywhere. Sami tells Paul he would move heaven and earth to find Will. Sami says she would do the same for E.J. Sami tells Paul he can’t ask her to give up. Sami has to confront Kristen. Paul gives in, and they leave.

Eve Walks In On Brady And Kristen

Days of Our Lives’ Brady and Eve are in John’s room at the Inn. Kristen says John isn’t there to enjoy it, no need to waste it. Brady questions if this feels right. Kristen wants to make love, drink champagne and make up for lost time. There is no place Kristen would rather be than there with Brady. Kristen is undressing Brady, and he tries to stop her.

Kristen tells him he will remember how good they are together. Brady tries to slow things down. If Brady doesn’t sleep with Kristen, Eve will die. Brady gives in to Kristen’s demands. Kristen has waited so long for this moment. Julie has found Eve in the freezer. Eve is sure Kristen has Brady. Eve goes in search of Brady. Kristen vows never to let Brady go. Brady flips Kristen over, and he doesn’t love her.

Brady loves Eve. Brady demands to know where Eve is. Eve comes in and sees Brady and Kristen in bed. Brady tries to explain to Eve what happened. Kristen pulls a gun on Brady. Brady steps in front of the gun to protect Eve. Brady tells Kristen he loved her once but not anymore. Kristen threatens to kill one of them. Kristen tries to force Brady to say he loves her.

Brady tells Kristen she blew their relationship. Kristen wants to know when Eve became a force of good. Eve loves Brady. Sami and Paul rush into the room. Sami is between Kristen and Brady. Sami tells Kristen she won’t kill Brady. Kristen admits to loving Brady. Kristen vows to kill Sami. Kristen starts to shoot Sami, Paul rushes her and grabs the gun. Paul and Kristen fall out the window.
