Days of Our Lives Matthew Ashford Dishes On His Return To Salem

It looks like Salem will be seeing the return of a fan favorite very soon. In fact, there’s a strong possibility that actor Matthew Ashford might reprise his role as Jack Deveraux sooner rather than later. There’s a winter preview that suggests Jack might be back just in time for a huge gala at a New Year’s Eve party. Here’s what we know so far.

Matthew himself didn’t confirm any details about his return but did say that he’s definitely back on set and excited about his new and upcoming storyline. “Yes, I am back on Days,” Ashford said in a videotaped at Starstruck YesterDAYS 2018. “It’s not airing yet, but someday soon. Maybe as soon as the new year.”

So does this mean that Jack wants to work things out with Jennifer? Or do the Days of Our Lives writers have something else in mind for him? Fans also want to know if Jack managed to survive his elevator crash. It’s without a doubt that inquiring minds want to know. Unfortunately, Matthew is keeping very tight-lipped about it.

“We’re still not talking or giving storyline but it’s going to be really good,” Ashford promised. “In fact, probably better for me — and hopefully better for you — than it has been in years and years and years. It’s really good stuff!”
