Days Of Our Lives: Hope Overreacting About Ben And Ciara’s Relationship – Ben Is Ciara’s Bo

Days of Our Lives spoilers indicate that Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) is hell-bent on sending Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) back to the institution.  Her problem is, she has no evidence at all to put him there.  Is Hope only accomplishing pushing Ciara (Victoria Konefal) into Ben’s arms?

Hope Apparently Has Selective Memory

Most Days of Our Lives fans remember when Hope was young and came home from boarding school.  Lady X sitting at Shenanigans and asking Bo (Peter Reckell) to buy her a beer is unforgettable for most Bope (Bo and Hope) fans.

Hope must have also forgotten things like following Bo to the warehouse where The Vipers (a gang) beat him up and destroyed her car.  How about the time she jumped into a van with Bo and Danny and ended up in Reinheart Prison?

Did she not also catch her police academy instructor and the chief of police in a drug deal and almost get killed?  Did she not even make friends with Patch (Stephen Nichols), the guy Bo warned her about? Wake up Hope, Ciara is her mother’s daughter, she is just as stubborn and bull-headed as you ever were.

Bo Was Never One To Give Up Either

It took a while but Bo rekindled his friendship with Patch even after putting his eye out in a knife fight.  Bo took on the Vipers alone. Bo helped to free Liz from Prison.  Bo went after the serial killer that was running around Salem at the time. Bo took on Megan Hathaway (Cheryl Ann, now Miranda Wilson), Stefano Dimera (Joe Mascolo), the list is endless.  Why would Ciara be any different?  Why would Ciara not see the good in someone who helped her?

Hope Can’t Get Past Ben’s Crimes

Days of Our Lives spoilers show that Hope refuses to consider the fact that Ben has changed.  Hope doesn’t believe Ciara when she tells her how much Ben helped her. Because Ben was a serial killer, Hope is hell bent on putting him away for life.

But, wasn’t Marlena (Deidre Hall) a serial killer? Doesn’t Hope consider Marlena to be her family?  Didn’t Hope rob people as Princess Gina?  Was Hope not brainwashed at the time she was under Stefano’s control?  Why is it so hard to believe that someone else can change if she and Marlena can?  Is it possible that Hope just hates Ben for being Ben and refuses to give him a chance solely based on her personal feelings and not fact?

Apparently, that is her issue because Ben has medical evidence that he is sane.  Ciara has vouched for Ben’s treatment of her, Marlena has examined Ben as well. Maybe Hope needs to put herself in Ben’s shoes and imagine how she would have felt if Salem residents had reacted that way toward her.

Ben And Ciara Are Friends

Right now, Ben and Ciara are just friends who understand each other.  Ben and Ciara have helped each other through a rough time and would not hurt each other.  Ciara talked Ben into going after his medication.  Ben literally saved Ciara’s life.

By trying to force them apart, Hope could accomplish the opposite and push them together instead.  Maybe the safe route would be just to let Ciara and Ben’s friendship play out and see where it goes.
