Days of Our Lives: Ciara and Ben - Potential Super Couple Or Big Mistake?Days of Our Lives often puts controversial pairings together, sometimes they work, sometimes they don’t, Ciara (Victoria Konefal) and Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) certainly fit that mold. The daughter of not one but two police officers paired with a “reformed” serial killer, and her cousin’s ex-boyfriend could be one of the worst.

Ciara Is Warming Up To Ben

Ciara is seeing a side of Ben that most of us haven’t seen in years. Ben used to be loving and tender with Abigail (Marci Miller) until he went insane. Everyone in Abigail’s family accepted him when they were together but all of them hate Ben now.

Ciara, however, is hurt and Ben has done everything possible to take care of her. She has thrown his crimes in his face, Ben has apologized and assured her he is trying to do better and she accepts that. Ciara is also very vulnerable, she just walked in on her ex-boyfriend in bed with Claire, the same person she feels she lost Theo (Kyler Pettis) to.

Ciara is still dealing with being raped by Chase (Jonathon McClendon) and feels that no one understands what she is dealing with. Ben listens to her and doesn’t try to tell her how to feel, that is exactly what Ciara needs right now, someone who understands.

Ben Sees Ciara As A Way To Make Amends

Ben wants people to believe he has changed and that the institution was right to release him. Ben literally ran out of Salem and just happened to find Ciara beside the road where she had wrecked.   Ben really saved her life, he set her leg and has kept her warm and fed.


Ben has told Ciara about his life so she understands him a lot better than she did in the beginning and he trusts her as well. Ben wants Ciara to be safe, he urged her to call home, gave her privacy to talk to Hope and has helped her in any way he can. If nothing happens to set him off, Ciara will be perfectly safe with Ben there to take care of her.

When Hope Finds Ciara, She Won’t Be Accepting Of Ben

Hope (Kristian Alfonso) is a cop and she hates Ben Weston, Rafe (Galen Gering) does too, the man killed his little sister. Hope is going to be hell-bent on putting Ben back in jail for kidnapping instead of accepting that Ben saved Ciara.

Ciara and Hope are certainly going to clash over her growing affection for Ben, much like Doug (Bill Hayes) and Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) clashed with Hope over Bo when she was young. Bo’s past is not even close to Ben’s so fans can be sure that both Doug and Julie will have something to say as well. In reality, Ciara’s family could end up pushing her further away instead of making her feel safe and loved.

Is Ben Really Cured Or Could Clyde Cause A Relapse?

Ben has been declared sane for now, but what happens if he comes face to face with Clyde (James Read) again? Could the mere image of his father cause Ben to relapse into insanity?

Ben has told Ciara already that Clyde was a huge part of his mental issues. Hopefully, Ciara will be safe and sound before this is tested because she may not be able to handle full fledge psycho Ben.

Unlikely Pairings Can Be Great

This unlikely pairing could take place simply because of the actor’s chemistry, it has happened on several soaps before. Supercouples like #Jasam (Steve Burton and Kelly Monaco, GH) and Cruz and Eden (A Martinez and Marcy Walker, Santa Barbara) were never meant to be paired but turned out amazing.

It is obvious that Robert Scott Wilson and Victoria Konefal have some great chemistry going so this unlikely pairing could be a great thing for Days ratings and viewers.
