According to the Daily Mail, Coronation Street won Best Soap. Also, Jack P. Shepherd – who plays David Platt on the show – took home the Best Actor Award. The ITV series earned the most nominations of the night, with 18 nods.
If that weren’t enough, everyone’s favorite villain, Pat Phelan, played by Conor McIntyre, won the Best Bad Boy award. That’s because no one can forget his heart-stopping exit from the show earlier this summer.
Shayne Ward won for Best Exit, while Mollie Winnard won the award for Best Bad Girl. Also, Simon Gregson won for Funniest Male while the Best Shock Twist went to Anna for her return, just in time to kill Phelan.
Meanwhile, the award for best show stopper went to Keegan and Shakil’s attack on Eastenders, while the Best Actress award was given to Emma Atkins from Emmerdale. Last but not least, Danny Dyer and Kellie Bright won Best Partnership for their portrayal of Mick and Linda Carter.
