Coronation Street Spoilers: Is Jude Appleton Alive? Paddy Wallace Answers Questions On Possible Return

Coronation Street star Paddy Wallace teases a huge plot twist involving Jude Appleton and fans of the soap are up for a big surprise. Viewers can expect more drama as the soap circles on the disappearance of the character on the show.

Paddy Wallace has played Jude Appleton, Mary Taylor’s (Patti Clare) son since Christmas day of 2016. In an interview, the actor has revealed that his character’s story is not yet over.

Mary was asked to go on a trip to Weatherfield to identify a body at the mortuary, which could very well be his son Jude. Mary, feeling crushed at the mere thought of seeing his son lying on the table, asked Jude’s estranged wife Angie (Victoria Ekanoye) to take a look at the body and determine if it indeed was his son while she waits outside.

To Mary and Angie’s relief, the body belonged to someone else, who shared similar features with Jude. Unfortunately, their relief was cut short as soon she finds out that someone has cleared her bank account. She eventually links the disappearance of her money to her missing husband. Despite all these, Mary felt thrilled in some way as all these indicated that her son is somewhere, alive and well.

Mary will continue to look for her son. Paddy said there would be a lot of twists and turns. Without revealing too much, he confirms that Jude will soon return to the cobbles. However, he didn’t say if it will be the last time fans will ever see the character on screen.

“It’s an interesting finale for me. Nothing is ever easy with Jude, it’s certainly not simple – that’s about as much as I can let slip, really,” he added.
