Beloved Soap Legend Peggy McCay Passed Away – Days Of Our Lives Caroline Brady Dead

It is with sad news this morning that we report that soap Days of Our Lives (DOOL) soap legend Peggy McCay who played Caroline Brady on the popular NBC soap has passed away.  Deidre Hall confirmed Peggy’s passing on her facebook page saying,

‘Our dearest Peggy McCay has left us. She was a friend, an activist and a real scrapper!! I remember meeting her at the bedside of a dear, very ill friend. I backed her up as she ferociously took on doctors and nurses to make sure he had the very best care. She fought that hard for all her causes. Passionate and tireless.”

Peggy was 90 years-old at the time of her passing and she died of natural causes.  The Emmy winning actress spent 3 decades on Days of Our Lives (DOOL) and the tributes have started coming in from many of her co-stars.

News of her passing comes just a weeks after DOOL Frank Parker (Grandpa Shawn Brady) passed away, Peggy’s long-time Days of Our Lives leading man.

There’s no doubt that Daytime Soap fans and family miss Peggy very much. Our condolences go out to Peggy’s family during this very difficult time.
