Meanwhile, Victor (Eric Braeden) determines that a public interview is necessary. He wants to prove he’s a healthy and capable leader for Newman. Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and Hilary (Mishael Morgan) get updates from Neil (Kristoff St. John). He tries to make sure this interview goes off without a hitch, but that plan’s destined for failure.
Over with Victoria (Amelia Heinle), she’s frantic over J.T.’s (Thad Luckinbill) potential return. Victoria spills her fears to Phyllis (Gina Tognoni), who thinks she’s fretting over nothing. Phyllis points out that J.T. died and was buried. She believes someone else has to be behind the latest threat.

Back with Victor, he goes on camera and kicks off his interview. Things quickly go downhill from there. Victor’s glass slips out of his hand, which prompts a commercial break. Once they’re back, Victor has a hard time sticking to his points. He gets off track and eventually launches a tirade about J.T. Victor looks straight into the camera and dares the coward to show his face.
Afterward, Victor tries to regain his composure. Unfortunately, the interview never really comes together. Victor still struggles to explain how his intentions at Newman. Neil’s anxious to wrap this up, but Victor wants to keep going. At home, Billy joins Phyllis for some steamy balcony sex. They joke about putting on a show for the neighbors and chuckle to themselves afterward.
When Billy goes inside for a moment, he spots some missed messages on his phone. Summer’s (Hunter King) in trouble, so she’s been begging for help. Billy tells Phyllis he’s going to take care of a work crisis and heads out. At the athletic club, Billy faces a request for $10,000. Summer’s losing in a poker game and desperately needs to win back her cash.
Billy decides to take Summer’s spot and he manages to get the job done. However, he soon has a stunning realization. Billy determines that this was about more than just settling up. When pressed, Summer admits that she lost her entire trust fund. She blew through everything and now she’s got a mountain of debt.
