Christel Khalil was born on November 30, 1987 in Los Angeles, California to an African American, Cherokee, and European American Mother and a Pakistani father. She has three older brothers and younger half sister.

A very interesting fact about Christel is that she is best friends with Bryton James, who plays her on screen brother on Y&R.
He was actually a groomsman in her wedding and also is a godfather to her son. This is awesome that not only they are close as their on screen characters, but off as well.
Christel Khalil came on “The Young and the Restless” in 2002 and is still there to this present day. She plays a very controversial character.
Some fans absolutely love her character, while others think she is a hypocrite.
Especially, now that her character Lily Ashby is going through a tough time with her husband Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard) since he was caught cheating. Fans have not forgotten the fact that Lily stepped out of their marriage before and Cane forgave her.
Christel Khalil is a very phenomenal actress and her storylines on Y&R really hit some close to home. We all watched her character deal with cancer at such a very young age and beat it.
