General Hospital’s (GH) hilarious Rebecca Budig has been chosen to be this week’s Woman Crush Wednesday! Her personality and sense of humor is to die for!
Rebecca Budig was born June 26, 1973, in Cincinnati, Ohio but was raised in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky. In 1993, is when Rebecca moved to Los Angeles, California to pursue an acting career. Interestingly, Rebecca’s first acting job was in an Aerosmith music video for the song “Livin’ On the Edge.” Then in 1995, she began a three-year stint as Michelle Bauer on the “Guiding Light.” So that is where she got started in the daytime soaps.

Rebecca’s most popular role came in 1999 which she took on the part of Greenlee Smythe on “All My Children.” She was on and off the show, but the last time she went back she remained with them until the show went off air in September 2011. Then in February 2015, is when it was announced that Rebecca Budig had been cast on General Hospital where she currently plays the part of Hayden Barnes. Sadly, news just recently broke out that Rebecca’s stint with GH has came to an end and she will be exiting the show.
Just when her character was getting a really great storyline, bam it’s over! She has made a lot of fans with her role of Hayden Barnes and most everyone is upset to see her go. Her and Michael Easton really have some great on-screen chemistry and it was going to awesome to see where the storyline went with them expecting a child. Also, fans were waiting to see how it played out with her being sisters to the girl she use to could not stand.

So GH fans are you going to miss Rebecca? It’s so sad to see her go, but we hope nothing but the best for her. She is an extremely talented actress and we are sure she will continue to make it big wherever life takes her. She is certainly our Woman Crush Wednesday, how about yours?
