This Is Us Spoilers: Another Big Clue About Jack’s Cause of Death

This Is Us shocked the fans once again when they revealed another big clue to Jack Pearson’s (Milo Ventimiglia) cause of death. Many assumed that he got in a drunk driving accident or something similar, but it turns out, he died in a fire of some sort. Or, that’s what the show wants you to think.

Kate Reveals Why She And Kevin Are Close

Kate (Chrissy Metz) reveals to Toby (Chris Sullivan) why she and Kevin (Justin Hartley) are so close. She tells Toby they have experienced some really “messed up” things together, including her father’s death. She went on to explain that she had to tell Kevin at 17-years-old that their dad died.

Last season, This Is Us explained that Kate felt responsible for her father’s death. They have not explained why she would be at fault yet, but many fans are skeptical that she did anything to kill her father. Since we know there was a fire, perhaps, she left a curling iron on or something, and it caused the house fire.

A New Puppy?

In the final scene of the season premiere, they showed Kate holding a puppy. If you recall, last season Jack told Rebecca (Mandy Moore) he wanted a fourth child or a puppy. He left it up to her. It seems that she decided a puppy as the dog joined the family.

A Burned Down House?

So many feelings rush as the burned down house was shown in the final scene of Episode 1. Rebecca cries and screams as it felt unfair that Jack died. They flash to a bag in the backseat with Jack’s rings, watch, and other personal property. None of his belongings looked burned, which brings up the question if he was really in the fire?

This Is Us showrunners reveal that the fans will learn all about Jack’s death by the mid-season finale. And, as you imagined, his death will be devastating. Just the thought is enough to make us cry!
