This is Us Season 2 Spoilers: Viewers Will Find Out How Jack Pearson Died On the 20th Anniversary Of His Death?

This is Us Season 2 spoilers indicate that viewers will finally find out just how family patriarch Jack Pearson died after almost waiting a full year for answers. As a matter of fact, there’s new speculation that fans will be getting the clues they are looking for right before the 20th anniversary of his death.

So far This is Us Season 2 has been focusing on “the big three” and how each one of Jack and Rebecca’s children – Kate, Kevin, and Randall – have been dealing with their personal struggles. Kate miscarried her first baby, Kevin is dealing with his addiction problems and Randall is having a hard time coming to terms with his past. For some time it did seem like the series wanted to focus more on the children this season than on Jack and Rebecca.

Yet, one eagle-eyed viewer on Reddit thinks that Jack’s death scene will be revealed sooner rather than later. Reddit user MaineSoxGuy93 thinks that the pieces of the puzzle will soon all come together. One theory being thrown around is that Jack might have died in a house fire.

He wrote, “The Big 3 were born in 1980. They are now 37. Jack died in their senior year of high school. So that means Jack died somewhere between 1997-98. That means the twentieth anniversary of his death is coming up. We will find out how he died on the 20th anniversary of his death.”
