This is Us Season 2 spoilers tease that there is going to be a very intense face off between Pearson family matriarch Rebecca and her three adult children. This is going to be during an unforgettable therapy session. The show stars Mandy Moore as Rebecca, Milo Ventimiglia, Chrissy Metz, Justin Hartley, Sterling K. Brown and more.
According to This is Us creator Dan Fogelman, he says that there is going to be a lot of intense, dramatic moments that fans haven’t seen on the show so far. It will begin during the family therapy session soon after they find out that Kevin is in rehab for his substance and alcohol abuse problems. A lot of things are going to be said that hasn’t been said before.

If that weren’t enough, Kevin’s life just goes from bad to worse. Speaking about Kevin’s DUI scene Dan says, “We have big episodes in short order. They just go at it in an interesting way that I had to call them into my office because there’s some really serious acting going on. We find Kevin in rehab, and the family has arrived to hash things out in a therapy session. It’s very loaded.”
Fogelman added, “We promised answers in Season 2 and we have eight episodes left, and it’s all coming in short order. It will really be a heartbreaking surprise.”
If there’s one light-hearted scene that fans will see, it is when Randall will to Memphis to reconnect with his roots and his extended birth family.
Unfortunately, This is Us fans will be without their Pearson family fix for several weeks as the show won’t return on NBC until Tuesday, January 2 at 9pm EST.
