This is Us Season 2 Spoilers: Chrissy Metz Says No Bypass Surgery for Kate Pearson

This is Us Season 2 spoilers indicate that there’s a slim chance Kate Pearson will be going through any major transformations this year. Chrissy Metz says she’s tired of her critics constantly asking her about her weight, her weight loss goals or when she plans on having gastric bypass surgery.

According to Chrissy, she’s focusing on her health by working out and watching what she eats. But she doesn’t want her This is Us storyline to solely focus on her weight struggles. In fact, she she’s sick of the media continually asking her about it. Chrissy says that her critics should stop worrying about her weight, especially since she doesn’t worry about it at all.

She told the Today Show in a new interview, “The question I wish people would stop asking me is, ‘Are you having weight-loss surgery? Are you gonna be doing a gastric bypass? Are you?’ Um, what? Some people do feel like they’re my doctors and they have tried to diagnose me on the internet. So that’s … that’s weird. Cause like, I’m good. I’m good, boo. But thanks! But I’m good.”

Chrissy also said that having bypass surgery might get quick results, but it’s not necessarily the right answer her character Kate Pearson is looking for, either.

She continued, “It is a fast fix and it’s not always the right answer. think with the character, Kate, she wants a quick fix because it’s not about the food. Food is the symptom. We’ll get to see all the details.”
