This Is Us News: Will New NBC Series Win A 2017 Emmy Award?

Milo Ventimiglia, known as Jack Pearson on the hit new drama ‘This Is Us’ on NBC, is no rookie to being a part of big TV productions. Making it no surprise to hear Milo Ventimiglia say “Television productions is absolutely a team sport.” So much so, he wants to share the spotlight with all his teammates, and not just the very talented co-stars.

‘This Is Us’ has an amazingly talented team of stars (Milo Ventimiglia, Mandy Moore, Sterling K. Brown, Chrissy Metz, Justin Hartley, and more) that shine bright, and will most likely be in the spotlight for award consideration. However, many times when referring to a show we rarely think past the talented cast of actors and actresses.

Milo Ventimiglia is the host of a series of seven videos “For Your Consideration” to highlight the entire ‘This Is Us’ production team. The team includes, Production Designer – Gary Frutkoff, Costume Designer – Hala Bahmet, Make-Up Head – Zoe Hay, Composer – Siddartha Khosla, Editors (4), Directors (12), and many, many others.

“In my mind and in my heart, the success of a show isn’t just the writing and the acting – it’s the crew.”, Milo Ventimiglia shared with Yahoo TV, “Everyone plays a part. So doing these videos for the crew is necessary. Everyone should appreciate and understand how talented these folks are that are in our crew.”

It is ‘This Is Us’ crew’s job to keep the show fluid, so to have a seamless transition as it spans time, back and forth over decades. There is so much that goes into the details of the show that helps transport us through the lives of the Pearson’s past and present. THE BIG THREE!
