Jack makes his spiel to Billy (Jason Thompson) and contends that his brother owes him this. Billy seems to agree since he doesn’t want to cause more drama between them. However, Ashley pays Billy a visit with her own convincing pitch. She feels giving Jack a vote of “no confidence” is what’s best for their family.
Jack eventually tries to get Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) to back him up. He makes her a new board member with the understanding that she’ll vote his way. He also speaks with Abby (Melissa Ordway) about how he’s always believed in her. Jack asks Abby to return the favor, but Ashley encourages her daughter to side with her mom on this one.
Lauren’s (Tracey E. Bregman) willing to support Jack, but only if he pumps more money into Fenmore’s physical locations. Jack can do that, but Ashley has a similar offer. She assures Lauren that Fenmore’s will become of great importance to her if she takes over.
Later, the board meeting begins and the speeches are given. Once Jack and Ashley have made their feelings known, the vote gets underway. Ashley, Billy and Abby go for “no confidence” while Jack, Phyllis and Traci opt for the status quo.
Jack and Ash squabble over the tie until Gloria (Judith Chapman) delivers the deciding vote, which has come in via courier. Kyle (Lachlan Buchanan) has gone against Jack, so the choice is made. Jack is out as CEO of Jabot.
Ashley also opens up to Ravi (Abhi Sinha) in Tuesday’s Y&R episode. She confesses that she led him on and possibly used him. Ravi considers leaving Jabot, but later determines that he likes working for Ashley. He intends to stick with the company after all.
Meanwhile, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) informs Nick (Joshua Morrow) that she’s in some trouble. She reveals that she stole money from Victor (Eric Braeden) and transferred it to some offshore accounts. Nick’s taken aback, but doesn’t blame Nikki for what she did. It was kind of impressive in Nick’s eyes.
Nikki worries about J.T.’s (Thad Luckinbell) next move and heads to the ranch after getting a text. When Victor (Eric Braeden) makes a toast and mentions prison, Nikki realizes he’s in the loop on her actions. Victor suggests he can clear all this up if Nikki agrees to his terms. He wants Nikki to move home and repair their marriage.
