The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Victor’s Peace Agreement Is Real – Nick and Nikki Remain Cautious

Victor (Eric Braeden) is willing to try on ‘The Young and the Restless’. He’ll abide by the truce that Nick (Joshua Morrow) offered. Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) has been asked to return to the Ranch, as well. But Y&R fans and both characters know to remain permanently leery of the ‘Moustache’.

The Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) issue hasn’t evaporated. Victor will not forget that Nick discovered his link to Chloe and facilitated her escape from Genoa City. Nick is also held responsible for affecting Nikki’s and Vickie’s (Amelia Heinle) opinion of Victor, along with Faith’s (Alyvia Alyn Lind) as he revealed the ‘Black Knight’s’ unintended role in Adam’s (Justin Hartley) death.

However, Victor does recognize that Nick’s donation of $500 million was significant. Victor’s heart was warmed, as soon as Nick told him that a sizable portion of that money was earmarked for orphan organizations.

Nikki and Victor appeared to make personal progress when they briefly met at the Top of the Tower. Mrs. Newman volunteered a comment about them eventually getting back together, if not just yet. Victor reiterated that he had never asked her to leave their house. Both parties have cooled and seem to be heading toward rapprochement.

As his family and devoted Y&R viewers know, Nick and Nikki can never count on Victor to be forever mellow. He has periods of consistency, where life flows as he likes. But family members subsequently don’t behave as he wishes, after reconciliations have taken place, and then battle lines are reestablished.

Nick was smart to leave Newman Enterprises years ago and establish his own business. Recently cutting money ties now adds an extra level of personal protection. His children are also loyal to him, which is a point that Victor recognizes and seems to respect.

As far as Nikki goes, she’s the eternal wild card. While Victor has been married to various women, Nicole Reed Newman was and is the woman who has the greatest hold on his soul.

It was understandable that she defended her dignity after learning about Victor’s latest secret (his having worked with Chloe). Nikki seems to have gained a different type of leverage than she’s had in the past based on the way she’s handled this latest martial tiff.

Like her son, Nikki will remain leery of Victor. But she loves her husband and will always maintain the Niktor bond, in some form.
