The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Victor and Billy’s Odd Alliance – Jack Mutual Enemy

Victor (Eric Braeden) and Billy (Jason Thompson) don’t and won’t like each other on ‘The Young and the Restless’. But they might form an alliance to bring down a current and mutual enemy. His name is Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman).

As Y&R viewers recall and Victor was foolishly told, Billy committed espionage against Jabot. He manipulated Dina (Marla Adams), Jack’s mother, to gain her User ID and password. He used those pieces of information to obtain digital documents that enabled access to Brash and Sassy’s business plans.

Hardcore viewers knew it was a mistake for Vickie (Amelia Heinle) and Billy to validate what Victor thought he overheard them talking about a few weeks ago. Yes, Billy had acted illegally. Victor gained leverage at that point.

The man who once had ‘Villy’ arrested on its wedding day is now offering to help them? Yes, Victor does want to help his daughter and her company to survive. He likely also wants to fold it back into Newman Enterprises in the near future as well.

But the ‘Moustache’ doesn’t want to help Billy, see ‘Villy’ reunite, ever, or help Jack. So why partner with Billy right now?

Billy won’t naively form an alliance with Victor. Any coordinated efforts will be perceived as temporary in order to help Vickie, the company and to slam Jack. Doing so would further endear him to his initial soul mate. Whether Brash and Sassy would benefit is another issue.

If played well, as often is the case, Victor will maneuver Newman’s one-time division for takeover and create a deeper rift between the Abbott brothers. At some point in the process the ‘Black Knight’ will likely pull Billy’s strings, reminding him that the authorities can be contacted regarding his acts of espionage.

Victor is primed to engineer a situation where Jack is given evidence. That would allow him to turn his own brother in. Mr. Newman often has others do his dirty work. Pitting the Abbott siblings against each other would be the real plan.
