The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Vickie’s Health Draws Billy Closer – Philly on the Rocks

Vickie’s (Amelia Heinle) health was already shaky on ‘The Young and the Restless’. A car accident makes matters worse. This dramatic factor will also draw Billy (Jason Thompson) closer.

It’s been months since Vickie decided that she wanted Billy back. She’s been playing the long game since then, hoping that her multiple-time ex-husband’s interest in Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) would sink of its own weight.

As Y&R viewers recall, Abby (Melissa Ordway) threw a drink in Vickie’s face at the Top of the Tower awhile ago. Vickie fell backwards, hit her head and has been suffering the effects ever since. She’s tried to address the situation, but modern science hasn’t come to her rescue. Faith in the individual power of human beings does represent hope.

While the head trauma was diagnosed as a concussion, Vickie has continued to experience harrowing symptoms that involve momentary hearing loss and exhibited motion sickness. But neither she nor the viewers actually know what’s wrong. Her car accident may force this issue to be reassessed and handled.

Billy is having issues with Phyllis, even though he doesn’t know it. The acts of espionage he committed against Jabot involved unauthorized use of Phyllis’ computer. His so-called significant other’s knowledge of that point has left ‘Philly’ vulnerable.

Two people who have been married, or married more than once and share children also naturally have a permanent bond. That obviously doesn’t mean those one-time couples are destined to reunite, but it does mean that no logical person can claim revival is impossible.

Vickie’s scare will impact Billy and Phyllis in varying ways. If the true nature of Billy’s actions against Jabot are revealed during this health crisis, ‘Philly’ will be on the rocks. It would seem prone to disintegrate at that point.

In the recent past Vickie told Billy that they’d never get back together. That seeming rebuke sent him to Phyllis, who hasn’t let go since.

The issue may not actually be if ‘Philly’ will split, but who will choose to end it and when?
