The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Vickie Has Conflicting Ideas About Billy – Bad Businessman, But Great Dad

Vickie (Amelia Heinle) has been conflicted about Billy (Jason Thompson) on The Young and the Restless. Of course, that sentence could have been written at any point in Genoa City history after these two characters first connected and throughout the many iterations of the one and only ‘Billy-boy’. Thompson’s version of this classic character remains bad in business, but is also a great dad.

Billy rushed production of Brash and Sassy’s facial masks to market. In so doing the product proved toxic. It appears as though no one actually committed sabotage, but that Billy’s reckless push created a situation that put Vickie in the hospital.

Recent speculation indicates that Vickie will oust Billy once she confirms his misguided role in her company’s latest fiasco. It’s also possible that Victor’s (Eric Braeden) offer to help his daughter results in the once Newman Enterprises’ division returning to the fold. Billy would be instantaneously ejected in that instance. If either event, or ones not noted happens Vickie’s multiple-time ex-husband’s days of working with her appear limited.

However, the man just saved Reed’s (Tristan Lake Leabu) life, along with the lives of Mattie (Lexie Stevenson) and Charlie (Noah Alexander Gerry). Vickie’s natural emotional reaction to Billy’s bravery will influence her thoughts where a ‘Villy’ revival is concerned.

As Y&R fans know, ‘Philly’ is in place right now. Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) just called Billy on the acts of corporate espionage he committed against Jabot. It would seem that development creates an opportunity for this seemingly fragile couple to dissolve. But it will likely take a full-on push by Vickie to get Billy back in order for ‘Philly’ to definitely end this fall, or winter.

Vickie is raising three children, the aforementioned Reed, Katie (Sienna Mercuri), who is Billy’s daughter and Johnny (Holden and Ryan Hare), who is Billy and Chelsea’s (Melissa Claire Egan) son. Vickie adopted him a number of years ago, which underscored her devotion to Billy.

Yes, current circumstances now allow Vickie the chance to take Billy out of her business equation and put him back in the family column. That decision can also include remarriage, eventually.
