The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Traci Reveals Graham’s Genetics – Ashley Has Another Brother

Traci (Beth Maitland) returned to Genoa City on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Y&R fans knew that something was about to break in the current arc that linked Graham (Max Shippee) to Dina’s (Marla Adams) past. The audience also was waiting to see how Ashley (Eileen Davidson) responds to news that Graham is her step-brother.

Ashley departed the Abbott house so Traci, who had just returned from New York, could catch up with an old high school friend. That setup enabled the yearbook prop to be used, which then revealed the photo of a high school boy who was a few years younger than Traci.

That high-haired guy’s name was Graham Davis. Boom! So now all Traci needs to do is pass that discovery along to her sister.

Brent Davis (Bert Kramer) isn’t a character that every current Y&R fan would be familiar with. Kramer’s alter ego was last seen in the mid-1980’s. He was a tennis pro who was written into the story after having purportedly cavorted with Dina in the 1960’s. Their connection was said to have produced Ashley, a fact that John (Jerry Douglas) was never told.

Fans know that Douglas hasn’t been seen in his ghostly role because it would force Jack (Peter Bergman) to awkwardly talk around the issue. His dad never knew that ‘Ash’ wasn’t his daughter. So having Jack break the news to him through the threshold of the otherworld wouldn’t make soapy sense.

The write-in to the seeming climax to this arc showed Graham’s mother was alive and living at a senior facility in Florida. Viewers learned that he’s been stalking Dina for a number of years, at his mother’s urging, in order to get back at Madame Mergeron for breaking up their family.

Graham is trying to confirm that Ashley is actually Dina’s daughter through Brent. He’s also apparently attempting to exact revenge, while also retaining the link to his expected inheritance. However, fans must believe that as soon as all news drops, Dina will cut him out of her will.
