The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Sharon’s Life Unravels – Mal Young Tested

Sharon (Sharon Case) just made a major decision on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Scott (Daniel Hall) is now living at the Cottage. While she believed that would help stabilize matters, her life is about to unravel.

Case fans will be examining executive producer and head writer Mal Young’s work very closely in the coming weeks. As ‘Shott’ faces its first true crisis, or potential end, Sharon supporters will be most interested to see how she responds.

Hardcore Genoa City viewers know that Sharon was written off into the wilderness for approximately a decade, give or take a few periods where she was allowed to be stable. Sharon’s mental health condition was proffered as the reason why she’d become the town kook.

Many fans didn’t agree with a series of writing team’s decisions to keep Case looped in a seemingly never-ending series of misguided choices. In truth, the character wasn’t allowed to evolve. Numerous plot points proved illogical after Cassie (Camryn Grimes died) all those years ago in soap time. But then Dylan (Steve Burton) left town.

In what became the hoped-for revival, Strong Sharon reemerged and has sustained herself. Queasy stomachs churned when Hall’s character arrived and was quickly inserted into Sharon’s arms. However, ‘Shott’ proved to be an advancement over more recent pairings. The duo had a calming effect on each other and also collaborated to bring down a trafficking ring.

Scott’s building chemistry with Abby (Melissa Ordway) was obviously going to impact his relationship with Sharon at some point, which is now. He somewhat surprisingly opened up to Abby at the office the other day about his feelings as well. That indicates Scott could voluntarily leave Sharon in the near future.

Seeing the Crimson Lights’ coffee mug as half full, Y&R fans want to believe that whatever happens in Scott’s life won’t send Sharon reeling. Even if he and Abby have a baby, or whatever else could develop, all Case fans really want is to see their star shine.

Much of Sharon’s year has been positive. Let’s keep her sound Mal, alright?
