The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Ravi Dumped Before Christmas – Ashley Must Reconsider

Fans can’t blame Ashley (Eileen Davidson) for being honest on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Dumping Ravi (Abhi Sinha) days before Christmas was hard, but also allowed him to hear and potentially accept reality. However, viewers can’t be blamed for hoping that she reconsiders.

‘Rashley’ has proven to be one of Y&R’s most heart-warming couples, if not it’s most endearing. The idea of a good soul like Ravi fighting against all seeming odds to actually create a relationship with Ashley was inspiring. It seemed like this pair was deepening their bond, but apparently that wasn’t the case.

Miss Abbott overcame thoughts about what type of man she’d been with in the past and finally appeared to embrace what Ravi represented. Here’s a guy who loves her for her. What more could Ashley want? Yes, that is the question.

Ravi felt personally used. So he impulsively accepted Vickie’s (Amelia Heinle) job offer at Newman Enterprises. Upon learning what Miss Newman was planning, Ashley invoked Ravi’s non-compete clause and retained his services at Jabot.

However, after blocking his attempt to leave the company, Ashley has now asked Ravi if he plans on accepting Vickie’s offer. While he said no, viewers are right to wonder if Ravi will move on, or begin to fade away in 2018?

It’s also interesting to speculate about executive producer and head writer Mal Young’s plans. Is he writing Ravi in another direction, or is Sinha’s time on Y&R coming to an end? Hopefully this solid actor remains, as he’s injected a fresh element to the cast and helped develop a likeable character who appeared to have staying power.

Just as Jack’s (Peter Bergman) mind is full due to Dina’s (Marla Adams) situation, so too is Ashley’s. Possibly, if the Abbott family can work together for Dina’s best interests and their own, Ashley will come to reconsider her feelings about Ravi. Here’s hoping that happens, as ‘Rashley’ should be heading toward engagement, rather than the discarded couple’s bin.
