The fans are the actual heart of ‘The Young and the Restless’. Some storylines have been merry as this year plays out. Others haven’t been as cheery. But as the New Year gets set to dawn, resolutions will abound in Genoa City. Devoted viewers will be watching to see how all fictional personalities progress.
Nick (Joshua Morrow) said in recent months that he feels left out of the Newman family loop. It was understandable that he was disappointed in his father’s behavior. However, Victor (Eric Braeden) is actually a poor soul underneath the rough exterior. So maybe he’ll give his dad a second chance.

Yes, Victor can play the ‘Black Knight’ when he wants to. That mental default reflects remnants of a horror show childhood. In actuality he loves his family. Nick and his dad share that common feeling. It’s time for these Newman men to make amends and begin healing.
Sharon (Sharon Case) deserves an honest relationship, which means that Scott (Daniel Hall) must make up his mind. Whether he decides to tell his significant other about Abby (Melissa Ordway) or not, it’s well past time for Mr. Grainger to only focus on Sharon.
Y&R viewers know that today’s Sharon is in a far different place than where she was late last year. Her life is balanced and she’s prepared to be with Scott longterm. However, he must commit to her, or break ‘Shott’ off.
Hilary (Mishael Morgan) is alone, for the moment. Devon (Bryton James) has taken notice.

‘Hevon’ Part I wasn’t a good match. While both characters love each other, Hilary’s virulent behavior forced Devon to eventually decide that he had enough.
As time has past and most especially within the last month, it appears as though Hilary has matured. If she’s truly sincere about being a better person and using her media power for the common good, then it’s also likely that ‘Hevon’ Part II could soon be scheduled. This repairing would surely prove intriguing as 2018 plays out.
