The possibility of eliminating the Juliet character from this show obviously is implied by the current crisis. Y&R has obviously written Allen’s character as the main problem to-date. She’s been portrayed as the person who broke up Lily (Christel Khalil) and Cane. The oddness of the Tokyo scenes also winked at Juliet lying about who her baby’s father actually is.

Viewers will gain a deeper understanding of executive producer and head writer Mal Young’s vision based on what happens this month with Juliet. Eventual redemption will be in order if she and the baby live. Unless it’s proven in time that the pregnancy was a scheme to ingratiate Juliet into Cane’s life, a sizable section of the audience should come to see Juliet as acceptable in the future.
Life is inarguably the best outcome, verses untimely death(s). Yes, that view of reality can even be applied to a soap opera. So here’s hoping that Young and his team have written Juliet and the boy who would be Cane’s second son into storylines that will be seen by the turn of the year, when the baby is due to be born.
There is no actual conflict between liking Lily, Mattie (Lexie Stevenson), Charlie (Noah Alexander Gerry) and wanting Juliet and the baby to survive. Yes, ‘Lane’ may not survive, or it could.

In either instance having a character die because a certain segment of the audience doesn’t like her would mean that the new script regime bent to the whims of one portion of viewers. That precedent, though not unprecedented, would be dangerous.
A bright view of tomorrow involves birth, not death. Conflict resolution also encourages observers to cheer fictional personalities on, rather than root against them, especially if they are innocent, as the baby and (possibly) Juliet are.
