The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Jack and Billy Reconcile – Combine To Fight Victor

Jack (Peter Bergman) and Billy (Jason Thompson) have been fighting each other for a long time on The Young and the Restless . This full blood feud was sparked by the jarring emergence of ‘Philly’. However, the brothers have now reconciled.

A near tragedy created opportunity. Jack was told that Billy was pinned inside The Underground as a fire raged and the building was on the verge of collapse. The elder Abbott demanded a hard hat, entered the smokey set and made his way to Billy.

The Fire Marshall had called for an orthopedist, as amputation of one of Billy’s legs was a seeming likelihood. But this is the soaps my friends. So Jack and Billy shared a few pages of sharply written dialogue, cut to commercial, return and yes, both men walked out alive and well.

Vickie’s (Amelia Heinle) subsequent face-slap and verbal pink slipped telegraphed what appears to be coming next on Y&R. Billy is out at Brash and Sassy and the brothers, well, they’ve already made amends.

Two plus two equals Billy back at Jabot? If so, he’s primed to fight hard against Victor (Eric Braden). However, the ‘Black Knight’ has knowledge of ‘Billy-boy’s’ espionage efforts against Jabot. That information might be leveraged somehow.

As of the moment it seems as though Brash and Sassy will be folded back into the Newman Enterprises. That means Jabot is in for the fight of its life, as Victor surely won’t be satisfied with merely competing against Jabot. He’ll want to put it out of business.

Jack and Billy haven’t gotten along over the years. So if a Jabot reunion is added to their personal reconciliation there’s a chance that simpatico won’t last. But their mutual feelings about Victor may prove to be enough to enable an enduring Jabot brother’s tag team.

Y&R’s audience will be split. Hardcore ‘Moustache’ fans do exist. While they are far from perfect, Jack and Billy would wear the white hats in a proposed fight against him and Vickie. Ding, ding!
