The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Hilary Plays Games With Jordan – Devon Remains An Option

Hilary (Mishael Morgan) likes Jordan (Darnell Kirkwood) on ‘The Young and the Restless’. But as viewers and everyone else in Genoa City knows, she still loves Devon (Bryton James).

Jordan recently decided that Hilary was too much for him. He felt that an opportunity was going to exist with Lily (Christel Khalil). So he ended things with Hilary in a respectful manner.

Lily had been sending Jordan signals that she was interested in him. Her marriage to Cane (Daniel Goddard) was cratering and Jordan was offering consistent support. So it seemed like ‘Lordan’ would result. However, after Lily decided to end ‘Lane’ she told Jordan that she just wanted to be friends with him.

Hilary and Devon ended their marriage by mutual agreement earlier this year. Since that time Hilary threw herself at Jordan, lost him as noted and then began enticing him again.

Jordan decided to reignite a relationship with Hilary after Lily put him in the “friend zone”. That surely seemed like a rebound reaction, but it’s hard to blame him. He’s single and so is the always enchanting host of the ‘Hilary Hour’.

Many months ago, shortly after ‘Hevon’ separated, Jordan basically asked Devon for permission to date his soon-to-be ex-wife. Devon appreciated the gesture and okay’d it, but also warned Jordan. Mr. Kirkwood was told that the soon to be former Mrs. Hamilton was quixotic.

It’s not that Jordan hasn’t heard what Devon, Lily and others have tried to tell him about Hilary. He simply wanted to make his own assessment. Jordan initially found Hilary to be uniquely dynamic, gorgeous and fun. She is all that, but also seems unable to break her personality pattern. That’s why circumstances resulted in her throwing a drink in Jordan’s face at Devon’s Genoa City Athletic Club.

Devon doesn’t yet know Mariah’s (Camryn Grimes) true feelings about him. There appears to be no future with her, which means that Hilary could easily become an option again.

Yes, Devon knows who Hilary is and how she’s treated him to-date. But love creates second chances and the possibility of growth as well.
