The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Hilary Is A Threat – Cane Isn’t Lily’s Again, Yet

Hilary (Mishael Morgan) is a threat on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Oh, she may be doing good leading into Christmas. But Lily (Christel Khalil) is right to remain suspicious about this enemy.

As Y&R viewers have seen, Hilary and Cane (Daniel Goddard) have become increasingly close this year. That fact, not opinion, is troubling. Every Genoa City observer knows what happened to Neil (Kristoff St. John) and to Devon (Bryton James) when that father and son were both linked to Hilary. That makes Cane’s current connection to Miss Curtis (aka, Ann Turner) exceptionally vexing.

Cane already suffered at Hilary’s hands. Ann, who still uses her fake name Hilary, tried to set Mr. Ashby up when she initially arrived in town as part of a revenge scheme against the entire Winters’ family. Ann’s, uh, okay Hilary’s motive was steeped in the false assumption that Neil was responsible for her mother’s death, which he wasn’t.

The above paragraph alone should have forever made Cane leery of the current GC Buzz host. But Hilary is intoxicating, as many men know.

Juliet (Laur Allen) became friends with Hilary out of necessity when she was alive. That development led to Hilary and Cane engaging in information shares. At the time Hilary was concerned that Lily was a threat to ‘Jilary’. Hilary’s unease was justified, as Jordan (Darnell Kirkwood) was more interested in Lily than Hilary at the beginning and in the end.

It served both parties to split Jordan and Lily, so Hilary and Cane worked together. ‘Lane’s’ restoration was something that Hilary favored, as it would have opened a path back to Jordan. Lily eventually put Jordan in the so-called ‘Friend Zone’, which, oddly didn’t result in Hilary and Jordan reconnecting.

Mr. Kirkwood had his reputation destroyed when Hilary lashed out. She stole his personal materials and then revealed his true backstory on the ‘Hilary Hour’.

Fast-forwarding to Sam’s birth, Lily ran off after holding Cane’s new son. Hilary stood in the hall watching, later entered and enjoyed connecting with the newest Ashby.

Regardless of all that’s transpired, Lily still possesses the ability to reclaim her husband and family. She better do so soon, as Hilary could easily burrow into Cane’s soul. And everyone knows how that frightening move would eventually end.
