The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Colin Wants To Bond With Juliet – Tristan Rogers Return Welcomed

Despite his foibles, Colin (Tristan Rogers) has always cared about his grandchildren on ‘The Young and the Restless’. The return of Cane’s (Daniel Goddard) father to Genoa City promises plenty of intriguing possibilities as Juliet (Laur Allen) prepares to give birth.

The end of ‘Lane’ isn’t directly tied to the Cane-Juliet connection. Instead, Cane’s reckless behavior in Los Angeles triggered the end of his marriage to Lily (Christel Khalil). That regrettable result has now opened the possibility of ‘Jane’, as the arrival of a baby boy around Christmas will surely help his parents bond.

Colin has fiercely defended his family in the past. So he’s certain to size up Juliet, which will help Cane to clearly see the implications of her obvious adoration and what’s best for the baby.

Yes, Colin has a checkered personal reputation and professional track record. It’s also generous to use the words checkered and professional in the last sentence, as GC devotees and the Atkinson clan know. However, Colin has often backed his son through the years and plans to do so again now.

Cane’s relationship with his dad has often been contentious. However, he needs someone to look out for him and will be served by Colin’s take on Juliet. Colin will offer direct, albeit sometimes unwanted advice to Cane which will help him to protect his best interests and that of his coming second son.

There have been many great actors on Y&R through the decades. Rogers easily ranks with them. His run on Y&R began in 2010, when he was cast to lengthen Cane’s backstory. Newer viewers may not know that Rogers was briefly employed by Y&R’s spinoff show, ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’, in 1997, when he played private detective Hunter Jones.

The Australian born thespian’s career began in 1967, but he became famous in the daytime world for his portrayal of Scorpio on ABC’s ‘General Hospital’ (1981, through his most recent appearance in 2016).

The versatile actor’s talent has also been incorporated into the streaming soap world. Rogers’ plays Commissioner Lex Martin on ‘The Bay’ (2010-present), which can be accessed digitally.
