The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Chelsea’s Worst Fear Lingers – Nick’s Fight with Victor Presses Christian’s Secret

Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) wants to enjoy the Christmas season on ‘The Young and the Restless’. She and Nick (Joshua Morrow) just repaired their modest tiff, which was related to Chelsea’s past as a scammer being outed on GC Buzz, and seem primed to further their relationship into the new year. However, the ever-looming Christian (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) paternity secret remains a real threat to ‘Chick’s’ bliss.

Nick will be wrecked whenever he learns that Chelsea has known about Christian’s biological connection to her late husband since before Adam (Justin Hartley) died. To-date it’s been her goal and Victor’s (Eric Braeden) to keep this information from him.

The fight Nick’s currently involved in with his father could easily press emotional buttons, causing the truth about Christian to be purposely blurted out. Yet, Y&R fans have seen recent indications that Nick may be open to reaching some type of accord with his dad.

Victor would likely opt to withhold what he knows if Nick successfully pursues an easing of tensions. But if Nick’s attempts to repair matters is misinterpreted, or fails, there’s no telling how the quixotic ‘Moustache’ will twirl.

Both men have been in destroy mode for a number of months. Their attitudes were triggered when Nick discovered Victor’s connection to Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson). Victor blamed Nick for damaging his relationship with Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) after his son told them what he’d learned.

Vickie has since come back into the fold. Nikki remains alienated. But if she goes back to Victor, Nick’s odds of patching things up with his dad would probably improve.

Chelsea will surely encourage her current significant other to soften his stance on Victor. Doing so would yield a double-result, half of which Nick would be aware of.

The widow Newman’s own interests will be furthered if she can coerce Nick to attend the tree lighting ceremony at the Ranch, where she, Christian and Connor (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois) have been invited by Victor. Yes, a Merry Christmas can be had by all, hopefully.
