The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Cane Makes Naive Claim – Juliet Is His Future

Cane (Daniel Goddard) was trying to console the twins on ‘The Young and the Restless’. He did so as ‘Lane’ was breaking the news to Charlie (Noah Alexander Gerry) and Mattie (Lexie Stevenson) that they were splitting. But Cane’s stating that he was never going to be with Juliet (Laur Allen) was naive, at best.

Juliet and Cane continue to develop chemistry. It’s true, none existed on that night in Tokyo, Japan. The ill-fated Brash and Sassy business meeting that led to Juliet’s pregnancy wasn’t about a romantic link and may not have been engineered either.

As time has passed it’s been revealed that Juliet thinks the world of Cane. In addition to the baby, who is most important to Cane, Juliet surely is an appealing lure.

Allen and obviously her character are attractive. Goddard’s character has recently kissed Juliet. It would be a stretch to say that Cane only did so out of loneliness, or frustration with ‘Lane’s pain . No, he’s being drawn to Juliet even if he hasn’t admitted that to himself.

Juliet’s first known child and Cane’s third is expected to be born sometime after Christmas. Considering Juliet’s recently diagnosed placenta issue, Cane’s senses have been heightened.

Now that he’s agreed to leave Lily (Christel Khalil), per her request, Cane will be fully free whenever Juliet calls. Lily is also looking directly at Jordan (Darnell Kirkwood) now. That option hurts the odds of a ‘Lane’ reunion any time soon.

While Miss Helton’s medical condition is real, she’s already demonstrated the ability to play off her diagnosis. Knowing that Lily pushed Cane out likely creates an open path to his heart as well.

The baby links them, but in lieu of some other potential relationship Juliet has become the most important woman in Cane’s life. Yes, he still loves Lily. But Juliet is the mother of his soon-to-be born second son. That fact and her intent to completely ingratiate herself in Cane’s life makes a future with Juliet increasingly possible.
