The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Ashley Says Product Rush Created Toxic Mask – Billy Looks Guilty

Consider that no one intentionally poisoned the Sassy Mask on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Apparently, that’s what Ashley (Eileen Davidson) believes lab tests confirmed. Her brother Billy (Jason Thompson) is considering the consequences if that speculation proves true.

Billy isn’t meticulous when it comes to business. One could say he was brash, but that would be a bit corny. Thompson’s character wanted to rush Brash and Sassy’s newest product to market. His sister suggested that a toxic situation may have resulted if he used a foreign supplier to create the product and that organization didn’t employ rigorous safety methods.

This puts a spin on a situation that initially appeared to be a whodunit. Maybe Jack (Peter Bergman), Gloria (Judith Chapman), Graham (Max Shippee), Juliet (Laur Allen), Cane (Daniel Goddard) or some other cloaked individual didn’t sabotage the facial mask?

Billy obviously wouldn’t have wanted this situation to have resulted. On the personal side, he’ll surely have egg all over the face that Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) and Vickie (Amelia Heinle) loves. As Y&R viewers recall, he vehemently accused Jack of causing this crisis.

On the business side, Brash and Sassy is facing a serious financial situation and may not survive. Victor is aware of his daughter’s predicament and has been hovering. Current circumstances might make Vickie prone to accept her father’s help as a perceived final option.

Victor (Eric Braeden) would gain decision-making influence if Vickie agrees to reestablish ties with Newman Enterprise’s one-time division. Billy would be in danger of losing his job in that instance, regardless of the circumstances. But if Mr. Abbott is shown to have used poor judgment, where this facial mask’s development was concerned, the odds of his exit from Brash and Sassy will increase exponentially no matter whether Victor is linked to it or not.

Vickie was slowly becoming sick due to the influx of toxic substances into her system. She could have easily died if a proper diagnosis hadn’t been made and proper treatment wasn’t applied.

While Vickie loves Billy and may eventually reunite with him, she’ll need to evaluate whether his role in her company is necessary. And again, that assumes that Victor won’t soon be calling the shots.
