Vic suggests that he has a great building for The Underground’s expansion project in St. Louis. However, he knows it’s best to back off. Nick doesn’t want his father’s help, so the favor Victor did will have to be his last. Once Noah’s gone, Kevin mentions that Victor’s attack will also affect Noah. Victor points out that Kevin shouldn’t worry since Noah has a trust fund.
Kevin eventually has a breakthrough and gets the transfer going. At the penthouse, Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) opens a gift from Nick and they make love. Noah arrives later and brings up the building Victor owns. Nick doesn’t want to do business with his father again and Chelsea backs him up.
When Nick tries to transfer money for the project, he’s taken aback. Nick’s personal account has a balance of zero. At the ranch stables, Mariah (Camryn Grimes) comments on her history of gaslighting. It’s not her favorite skill, but she’s glad she was able to pitch in with Tessa’s (Cait Fairbanks) plot.
Tessa reiterates that Mariah is like family, but Mariah hints that for her it’s something more. Suddenly, Tessa gets up and argues that she can’t keep waiting around. She has to help Crystal (Morgan Obenreder). At Sharon’s (Sharon Case) place, she convinces Alice (Tamara Clatterbuck) to call Leon (Renes Rivera). Alice does as she’s told and Leon reveals that he brought Crystal back to Genoa City.
When Mariah and Tessa appear, they learn Crystal is nearby and a meeting has been arranged. Alice also gets updates on Mariah being Cassie’s (Camryn Grimes) twin. They all head to Cassie’s grave, which upsets Alice. Sharon insists this location is perfect since Cassie will watch over them.
Leon struts over with Crystal, but the plan goes awry. He grabs Sharon and there’s a bit of a struggle. After Mariah whacks Leon in the head, Alice gets her hands on his gun. She ultimately lets Leon scamper off. Tessa and Crystal hug as they enjoy their long-awaited reunion.
At the athletic club, Zack (Ryan Ashton) is frustrated when he can’t reach Alice. When Abby (Melissa Ordway) gripes about having more males than females on the dating app, Zack lashes out. She quizzes him about why he’s so snappy, but he suggests he’s just tense over work. Afterward, Leon calls Zack to fill him in on their latest issue.
