The Young and the Restless (YR) Poll: Which Genoa City Character Wins in October?

The lives of Genoa City residents are hardly stable on ‘The Young and the Restless’. But the doldrums only represent part of some character’s storylines. Considering where everyone is as this month begins, who will win in October?

Juliet (Laur Allen) already considers herself to be a winner. She’s taken Lily’s (Christel Khalil) husband away. The seeming methodical plan that Juliet has followed first placed the ultimate wedge issue between Lane, Cane’s (Daniel Goddard) baby. Then, after the DARE sabotage was revealed, ‘Lane’ moved toward dissolution.

Lily’s choice to pursue divorce surely indicates that Cane will have nowhere else to turn. Juliet is waiting and absolutely wants him. Cane has already evidenced an obvious attraction to her and the pending arrival of their son will serve to deepen a growing emotional bond.

Mattie (Lexie Stevenson) and Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu) came under heavy pressure from their parents. Like countless young people through the years, all they did was like each other. But the drama that their families were linked to resulted in ‘Meed’ being asked to never see each other again. That wasn’t fair.

Never only lasted until October. Mattie and Reed will revive their connection because Cane and Lily are transitioning to lives that will be increasingly independent from each other and Vickie (Amelia Heinle) is again fawning over Billy (Jason Thompson). Those distractions will create time for this likeable pair of kids this month.

Jack (Peter Bergman) will outmaneuver Brash and Sassy via his plan to feed Jabot’s competitor false information. Billy and Vickie think they’ve outwitted Jack, but they couldn’t be more wrong.

Corporate espionage is a criminal act. So Jack won’t merely be luring the revived beauty company off-track by allowing what constitutes ‘Villy’ to spy on his family’s company. As that happens, he’ll also gathering enough information that will make Billy vulnerable for prosecution. Yes, Jack wins.

Of course, there are plenty of other Y&R personalities who could also win in October. Such is life in this soapy world.
