The Young and the Restless (YR) Poll: Team Nick or Team Victor? – Son and Father Wage Fierce Fight

Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Victor (Eric Braeden) are battling on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Some feel that Nick is a poor soul who has been attacked by his father for years. Others believe that Victor is often misunderstood.

Moral relativists claim that the world isn’t filled with right, in between and wrong. No, there is only in between and anyone who claims otherwise is naive. The term egg head may have popped into reader’s minds and now let’s move on to the latest fierce Newman battle in Genoa City.

So Victor somehow guessed that Adam (Justin Hartley) was actually Christian’s (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) biological father. Whether the head of the Newman clan was involved in adjusting paternity test results at the time is yet to be known. In any regard, the ‘Moustache’ discussed the Christian issue on many occasions with Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) in a benevolent way, as both parties wanted to protect Nick.

Nick’s outed his father for having been involved with Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson), which changed Victor’s paternity calculation. Victor no longer cares if Nick’s feelings are protected. The ‘Black Knight’ wants unfettered access to Christian, which Nick is increasingly trying to block.

Victor supporters will respond by citing Nick’s horrid treatment of Sharon (Sharon Case) after Cassie (Camryn Grimes) died. They will say that Nick has shown little loyalty to his father, the family company or to others within his privileged world. Some will apply nicknames like ‘Prince Nick’ and ‘Little Lord Nicholas’ in order to counterbalance monikers that have stuck to Victor, as well.

So, who is right in this fight? Are both sides wrong, or is there some middling middle ground? Moral relativists are thinking critically at the moment, while all Y&R devotees who know this history of both characters await the endgame result.
