The Young and the Restless star Melissa Claire Egan has become a household name among Y&R fans with her portrayal of fan favorite Chelsea Newman.  However, the actress had to work hard and struggle like every other television star to get where she is today.

Melissa, a University of North Carolina alum, took to Instagram to reveal that she and her parents are visiting her old stomping grounds.  Egan and her Dad stopped by the UNC Wall of Fame to pay homage to her very own picture on the star-studded collage.

The Young and the Restless star joked in the caption that the photo on the wall is a huge deal for her parents, after all of the money she had to borrow for them for acting classes and head-shots when she was trying to make it in the acting business.
