Kevin (Greg Rikaart) somehow dragged himself back to Dr. Harris’ (Ron Melendez) house on ‘The Young and the Restless’. But Rikaart’s character hadn’t crossed over and then back from AMC’s ‘The Walking Dead’ series, which has been a trendy watch on various digital screens in recent years.
No, Kevin survived an explosion and came to get his woman. Oddly, he left his stolen neutralizer behind. That leaves Harris, who Kevin tied up, as more of a threat than he should be at this point.
Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) needed rescuing, as she wasn’t cast as the heroine in this instance. Use of soapy logic enabled Kevin to somehow survive and then return to where his soul mate was being held hostage. Which was more unbelievable; That he wasn’t killed due to the explosion, or that he was able to locate Harris’ two-story without a smartphone in a town he doesn’t know?
It’s fair to wonder how Harris recovered from the major clunk on the head Chloe applied as well. Maybe he’s the zombie? Even though the champagne bottle she used was empty, it seemed impossible that Melendez’ character would have been able to get up and stop his captive from leaving just seconds later. Yet that’s what happened.
Thankfully, Kevin wasn’t killed as a result Harris’ having sabotaged his sedan. After changing a flat tire, Mr. Fisher bailed from his still-parked car on the outskirts of whatever Louisiana town that’s being shown. Massive smoke forced him to quickly exit and then be thrown to the ground.
Chloe smartly played into Harris’ fantasy by becoming his replacement daughter. Her attempted escape came after the aforementioned head conk and just prior to Kevin’s return.
Harris drugged Chloe in the meantime, but she was somehow able to fight off whatever sedative was injected into her arm by the time Kevin took her to Harris’ car. Hopefully, Kevin’s choosing to leave the gun he stole from the Genoa City Police Department won’t prevent ‘Khloe’ from escaping Victor’s (Eric Braeden) demented watchdog.
