The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Zack’s Window Closing – Abby in Danger

Abby (Melissa Ordway) thought she was doing something good on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Miss Newman greenlighted Zack’s (Ryan Ashton) incubator business. An innovative dating app seemed like a no-brainer. But Abby has gotten herself into far more than she imagined, as devoted viewers know.

Y&R has developed the Abby character from a free-floating air head into a more mature personality. So it would have seemed better to not write Ordway’s alter ego into a corner. The coming revelation, where Zack’s true self is revealed, will make Abby look naive and reckless.

Zack is clearly using the application he developed as a front for the criminal ring he runs. How long this creature has been involved in such nefarious dealings is unknown. However, it appears as though Genoa City is a heartland area that was strategically targeted.

As of now, Abby believes Zack is a savvy business man. She’s also been fooled into believing that Ashton’s character cares about her. That’s likely a cover to keep Abby distracted as a way of furthering said proceedings.

Newman Enterprises stands to take a serious hit whenever the operation Zack heads is exposed. There will likely be no avoiding major public relations damage. Jack (Peter Bergman) will be snidely happy when Victor’s (Eric Braeden) image is sullied across the globe.

But the ‘Moustache’ has positioned Scott (Daniel Hall) in a key position at Newman. His lead role at Hashtag will almost certainly allow an independent investigation to take place, beyond the initial step he already took. But soapy sense informs viewers that Scott could prove vital in helping to rescue Abby as well.

As of now, Zack believes he’s handled the Crystal (Morgan Obenreder) situation. But that link to Tessa’s (Cait Fairbanks) sister is sure to create ongoing problems.

In the nearing future Abby will see Zack’s soul. When that happens she’ll be mortified and act to stop him. At that moment her life will be in serious danger.
