The Young and the Restless (Y&R) Spoilers Wednesday, December 27: Reed Arrested – Jack Forced to Make Tough Choice – Lily Irritated By Hilary

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Wednesday, December 27, tease that J.T.’s (Thad Luckinbell) news will catch Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu) off guard. At home, Reed walks in and hears J.T. mention his separation from Mac (Clementine Ford). He pretends it’s no big deal, but he’s obviously affected by the split.

Reed heads to a party and eventually gets drunk. When Mattie (Lexie Stevenson) tries to get the car keys, Reed won’t listen. He insists on driving and warns he won’t forgive Mattie if she calls the cops. Mattie feels she has no other choice, so she phones the police and relays her fears to Lily (Christel Khalil).

An officer soon pulls Reed over and arrests him. Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and J.T. are taken aback by their son’s situation. Elsewhere, Lily talks to Devon (Bryton James) about Cane (Daniel Goddard). Sam’s on his way home from the hospital, but she’s worried about seeing him. She doesn’t know how she’ll react since this isn’t her baby. Watching Cane with Sam could be tough for Lily.

At the Chancellor mansion, Lily’s irritated by Hilary’s (Mishael Morgan) interest in Sam. Cane points out that Hilary asks about the baby, so she naturally knows more about him. Devon tries to ease the tension. Lily corners Hilary and wants to know why she’s so close to Cane now. Hilary hints that unlike Lily, some people can forgive and let the past go.

Jill (Jess Walton) takes in the scene and urges Lily to come to her New Year’s Eve party. Later, Devon asks Hilary if she’s starting a romance with Cane. Hilary suggests that her love life isn’t really Devon’s business anymore.

Jill also gives Jack (Peter Bergman) some demands in Wednesday’s Y&R episode. If they’re going to make a deal, Jill needs more money and Cane will have to remain at Chancellor. Jack gets on board and an agreement is made. Afterward, Billy (Jason Thompson) and Cane warn Jill about the trouble this deal could bring. They don’t think it’s a good idea to sell to Jack.

Lauren (Tracey E. Bregman) insists that Jill is doing the right thing, but doubts creep in anyway. Meanwhile, Ashley (Eileen Davidson) has an ultimatum for Jack. She declares that he needs to choose between caring for Dina or running Jabot. It’s just too hard to do both.

Jack relents on taking care of Dina, so he finds a nice agency to help him out with his mother. Suddenly, Billy gives Jack shocking updates. He notes that Jill isn’t moving forward with the deal they agreed to.

Across town, Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) proposition surprises Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan). He wants to build a dream home with The Underground insurance money, but she’d rather stay in the penthouse. There are just too many memories to leave behind. Nick gets it and contends that they can just make new ones of their own.
