The Young and the Restless Spoilers Thursday, July 6: Kevin Makes Shocking Decision – Cane Fired, Demands Juliet Take Paternity Test

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Thursday, July 6, tease that Jordan (Darnell Kirkwood) will offer more support to Lily (Christel Khalil). At home, Lily frets over Juliet’s (Laur Allen) pregnancy. She’s not sure how Charlie (Noah Alexander Gerry) and Mattie (Lexie Stevenson) will take the news. Jordan insists he never would’ve put Lily through anything like this. He places all the blame on Cane (Daniel Goddard).

Meanwhile, Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu) learns Mattie is Lily’s daughter. He suggests that maybe he could pull a few strings to help Mattie get her internship. Mattie thinks Cane will be the better option.

Later, Charlie arrives and immediately clashes with Reed. After Charlie takes off, Mattie notes that he’s a real pain. She contends that her brother’s not so bad deep down though. Mattie also accepts Reed’s offer to catch a movie together.

At Brash and Sassy, Cane throws out suggestions as he tries to save his job. Victoria (Amelia Heinle) shuts down the discussion and encourages Cane to focus on his family. Once Victoria is gone, Cane grabs a beaker and hurls it against the wall.

In Hilary’s (Mishael Morgan) suite, Juliet argues that Cane will make a good dad. Hilary asks if Juliet has feelings for Cane, but she suggests that they simply hooked up. However, she’d like to be on better terms for their child’s sake. Hilary doesn’t know if that’s possible.

Cane shows up and lashes out as Hilary exits. He hints that Juliet might’ve planned all of this. Juliet denies it, but Cane continues to rant. He demands a paternity test, so Juliet accompanies him to the appointment.

At home, Mattie admits that Reed is the boy she likes. She can tell that Lily is worried about something, so she quickly shifts gears. Mattie asks if Cane is facing more drama. Near the pool bar, Jordan and Hilary discuss Juliet’s pregnancy. Victoria heads to the bar for a drink. When Reed spots his mom, he walks over and confesses that he likes Mattie. A stunned Victoria blurts out that she just fired Cane.

At Crimson Lights, Paul (Doug Davidson) and Michael (Christian LeBlanc) wonder what happened to Kevin (Greg Rikaart). Michael calls the resort in Tahiti, but the desk clerk reveals that Kevin never checked in. Paul gets updates and notes that he’s not sure what do to. Kevin is normally the person he turns to for a task like this. Michael says he’s going to investigate and vows to share his findings with Paul.

In Louisiana, Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) and Kevin have a tense chat in the car. She’s concerned about Dr. Harris (Ron Melendez) calling his accomplice. Kevin argues that they’re safe, but he needs Chloe to hide out while he gets Bella (Gia Poeme). He promises they can all build a new life together.

Michael reaches out to Esther (Kate Linder) before Paul calls with more news. Kevin never got on the plane to Tahiti. Suddenly, Kevin appears and lies that he was in Oregon. He shares his plan to move there with his daughter.
