‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Sharon Douses Nikki With Milk – Truce Over Claws Out

Sharon (Sharon Case) really did it on ‘The Young and the Restless’. She saw a carafe of milk at Crimson Lights, which she owns again, and emptied its entire milky contents on Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott). Truce over claws out.

Devoted Y&R fans may have recalled various battles between Katherine (Jeanne Cooper) and Jill (Jess Walton) as that scene played out. The truce that Nikki initiated with Sharon just days ago, in Genoa City screen time, was eviscerated with said dousing.

The site of soggy Mrs. Victor Newman with whitened hair, face and clothes was priceless. This cantankerous mother-in-law received partial reprisal for the way she has behaved since Dylan (Steve Burton) first fell for Sharon. Yes, along with Adam (most recently played by Justin Hartley), Dylan represented the second of Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) brothers that the former Miss Collins became entangled with. Each relationship was a thrill ride that ended badly no less.

Sharon has lacked impulse control for most of her adult life. In this instance, she just left the cottage where Paul (Doug Davidson) was suddenly abandoned. That poor guy just delivered a sobering message about Dylan’s indefinite, if not permanent status that Sharon didn’t want to accept. Before storming out she told her father-in-law to take all of his son’s belongings from of her house.

A tidbit was teased in the first paragraph of this feature that also deserves additional word time. As some viewers may have forgotten, Dylan still owned Crimson Lights. His efforts on the police force were the focus of most work-related scenes, so it would be natural for fans to have forgotten that Dylan bought the coffee house from Kevin (Greg Rikaart) shortly after he arrived in GC in 2013.

Devoted ‘Shick’ fans know that this setting is where Sharon and Nick spent important moments in their early years. It was the spot where an accepted proposal led to their famous marriage. They eventually bought Crimson Lights, owning it until Cassie’s (Camryn Grimes) death caused their divorce and the relinquishing of various marital assets.
