‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Monday, January 16: Hilary’s Tries To Confess – Jack Upset – Lily’s Surprises Cane – Reed Lands in Hot Water

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Monday, January 16, tease that Jack (Peter Bergman) will be fed up with all the reporters he’s dealing with. At the athletic club, Jack complains to Jill (Jess Walton). She notes that it’s all Hilary’s (Mishael Morgan) fault and insists she won’t forgive her for hurting her family.

At the hospital, Cane (Daniel Goddard) tries to make Lily (Christel Khalil) focus on Devon (Bryton James) instead of stewing over Hilary. Lily doesn’t like the idea of Hilary spinning things her way if Devon’s memory returns. She sends Cane to see Devon alone since she doesn’t trust herself to stay quiet.

At home, Devon struggles to remember the details of the crash. He asks Hilary why he was by himself and mentions the strong feelings he recalls. Hilary explains that Devon wanted to test drive the vehicle he purchased. She fibs that she stayed behind to work, but says they were together at midnight before he left.

Devon doesn’t think any of this makes sense. Cane comes to the door and Hilary tries to get rid of him. Devon yells for Cane to come in. Cane visits with Devon privately and learns Hilary has been spreading lies. He chooses to keep his mouth shut. Devon quizzes Cane about that night, but he doesn’t get any answers.

At GC Buzz, Jack checks in with Hilary. She hears about all the negative news. Hilary notes that Devon wasn’t legally impaired at the wheel. Jack knows, but implies that the truth about that night could leak. He feels like Hilary should come clean as soon as Stitch (Sean Carrigan) says it’s OK.

Hilary goes home and tries to make a confession. Devon senses that she’s upset and thwarts her attempts to explain. He knows changes need to be made. Devon promises everything will be better starting right now.

Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Billy (Jason Thompson) are discussing a Valentine’s Day advertisement when Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu) comes back for his phone. Reed thanks Billy for their chat and Victoria realizes there was more than homework going on. Billy suggests they were working on Reed’s bibliography, but Victoria doesn’t buy it.

After Reed exits, Victoria demands to know the real story. Billy confesses that Reed needed help with some guy stuff. He urges Victoria to be glad Reed wants to talk to an adult he trusts. Suddenly, a call comes in from the model scheduled to do the photoshoot. She cancels and leaves them in a bind.

Back at the club, Jill finds Lily and starts griping about Hilary. Lily doesn’t have the energy to deal with it anymore. She suggests that Devon is an adult and can handle this on his own. When Billy calls with updates on the model cancellation, Jill has a solution.

Jill brings Lily to Brash and Sassy as a replacement model. Billy and Victoria are grateful that she could pitch in. Lily dons a red dress and sports a glamourous hairdo. She poses for the camera as Cane walks in. He looks taken by her beauty, but also seems a bit unsure of the situation.

Later, Billy and Jill talk about how everything went. Jill is pleased, but Billy thinks Cane acted uncomfortable. Naturally, Jill doesn’t care. She maintains that she’s the one in charge.

Other “Young and the Restless” spoilers reveal that Reed will land in hot water. At home, he gets on his computer and enters Victoria’s credit card info on an adult website. The babysitter arrives with Johnny and Katie, so Reed shuts his laptop. He accidentally leaves the credit card on the desk.

Victoria returns later and wonders what’s up. Reed lies that he doesn’t know anything about the credit card. Y&R rumors hint that the trouble is just beginning. Stay tuned to see what’s in store for Reed and his family.
