‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Lauren Benefits From Gloria’s Passion – Business Problems Must Be Attacked

Lauren (Tracey Bregman) is acting out of fear and compassion on ‘The Young and the Restless’. She hasn’t told Michael (Christian LeBlanc) that Fenmore’s is having serious financial problems because she’s scared and doesn’t want to alarm her husband. But Gloria’s (Judith Chapman) honesty can help to solve existing problems.

Devoted viewers of Y&R were thrilled to learn that Chapman was returning to the show late last year. Gloria’s delightful pop out of the mysterious box that arrived at Michael and Lauren’s home served as a fitting reintroduction for this brilliant character. Chapman has consistently evidenced a nuanced range of vulnerability, humor and drama dating back to her debut in 2005.

Sans Jeffery (Ted Shackelford) this time around, Gloria’s main focus is on her two boys. Because Mr. Bardwell soaked all of Gloworm’s insurance money, Gloria is broke. So she’s living with the Baldwin super couple, which isn’t to their ‘Likey’.

However, Gloria has always meant well where her children and their families are concerned. In addition to her current (and also correct) feelings about Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson), Lauren was confronted with blunt honesty after Gloria checked out Fenmore’s financial page. Suffice it to say, that fashion business suffered bad losses in 2016.

Gloria is completely right in urging Lauren to tell Michael about Fenmore’s profit plight. Yes, it’s a serious issue, but ‘Likey’ survived serious relationship issues in the recent past and can surely handle this particular business matter regardless of where it leads.

Lauren would be wise to not only listen to ‘Mama Bear’, but also to take whatever help she’s willing to offer Fenmore’s. Having Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) aboard is certain to help modernize online issues. But Gloria’s public relations skills could also be tapped to help Fenmore’s climb back from its perception grave.

While Lauren isn’t yet aware of this looming threat, Jack (Peter Bergman) is ready to make a hostile takeover attempt of her company. In addition to Phyllis’ specialized skills where that man is concerned, Gloria’s ferocious fighting skills could also prove useful against Jabot’s sneak attack.

Oh ‘Glo’, it’s great that you’re back!
