‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Hilary Panicking As Devon Gets Better – Their Marriage To Be Tested

Devon (Bryton James) survived and appears to be on his way to a full physical recovery on ‘The Young and the Restless’. That’s what Hilary (Mishael Morgan) is trying to focus on. But she’s also nervous because as soon as her husband’s memory returns ‘Hevon’ will face another relationship crisis.

Neil (Kristoff St. John) and Lily (Christel Khalil) have been very blunt with Hilary now that Stitch (Sean Carrigan) took Devon off the critical list. They believe that Hilary’s actions sent Devon over the edge, which caused him to crash his car somewhere on the outskirts of town on New Year’s Eve.

A balanced view shows that Hilary is a so-called high-maintenance spouse. However, Devon has free will. So, he allowed himself to fly off the handle after Mariah’s (Camryn Grimes) revenge scheme humiliated Hilary at the Abbott-Winters Foundation charity event at the Top of the Towers.

It seems likely that Devon’s memory of recent events will return in the very near future. Yet, when that happens there’s no guarantee that he’ll respond to Hilary as he did last week. He likely won’t overlook her actions, but probably will decide that he’s mostly responsibility for his hospitalization.

Hilary has often acted impulsively and recklessly toward other people since she first came to Wisconsin. Mariah felt compelled to retaliate because she wasn’t about to allow Hilary to get away with having tripped her on GC Buzz’ live feed. But both ladies were wrong, despite Lily’s slanted opinion that Mariah was somehow justified in exacting vigilante justice. Hilary and Mariah should learn to get along with each other, or sever their working relationship.

Devon is a standup guy. The terrible experience he’s just endured also resulted in his survival. A life-threatening event can inject a different perspective into someone’s mind. With whatever memories return, or however he felt prior to the stroke of 2017, Mr. Hamilton still loves his wife. The power of that reality might surprise Neil, Lily and Hilary. Yes, ‘Hevon‘ could survive one more time.
