Lauren (Tracey Bregman) shot Sheila (then played by Michelle Stafford in an apparent dual role) dead on ‘The Young and the Restless’ in 2007. Eric (John McCook) recently visited Lauren when she asked him to help her bluff Jack (Peter Bergman) into a better merger deal. So doesn’t it seem strange that Eric didn’t immediately contact Lauren after he learned that Sheila (again played by Kimberlin Brown) was alive?
Eric and Lauren share a personal history that dates back many years. The crossover characters have endured torturous interactions with Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) in the past.
Y&R Star Eric Braeden News And Updates
So it remains possible that B&B’s reintroduction of Sheila is somehow a dream.
All storylines will be reverted, a la Bobby (Patrick Duffy) never being dead on ‘Dallas’, circa the mid-1980’s. Short of that, Sheila is back which doesn’t match with Y&R’s plot.
Eric is the lead character on B&B. But unlike Victor (Eric Braeden), he’s not a bad guy. So Eric wouldn’t choose to withhold the incredible news about Sheila having never died, somehow being imprisoned, being released and then showing up on his doorstep in Los Angeles. Victor would likely have arranged those plot points himself in a similar scenario.
Sheila explained away her seeming resurrection by saying that stories about her identity were crazy. The deeply odd recasting of Sheila in Michelle Stafford’s body was amazing, to put it mildly. So apparently Lauren didn’t kill Sheila, if that woman never was Miss Carter with a face that had been altered by plastic surgery. That’s life-altering news for many, including Sheila’s number one worldwide nemesis, Lauren.

Eric would never allow his friend Lauren, or Scott (Daniel Hall), who was Sheila’s one-time baby obsession, to be in danger. And they are clearly at risk now that Sheila has returned to live with the general populace.
Y&R viewers know that Lauren is oblivious, as she would have instantly let everyone know if Eric had informed her about this revelation. So why has B&B written Sheila’s comeback with this caveat?
