The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Villy Has Another Shot – Cane’s Termination Creates Alone Time

Cane (Daniel Goddard) was a workaholic on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Another way of looking at his business drive meant that he rarely allowed Vickie (Amelia Heinle) and Billy (Jason Thompson) to have any alone time at the office. Now that Cane’s been fired from Brash and Sassy another ‘Villy’ revival appears to have become more likely.

Of course this isn’t certain. What soapy relationship (or real life) relationship is readers? Sans the tension that Cane experienced and has more recently created at work, Vickie and Billy are now going to be spending a lot more one-on-one time together.

Yes, Billy has recently moved into Phyllis’ (Gina Tognoni) visually appealing condominium. Savvy viewers know that living space is actually Summer’s (Hunter King). But Clementine (also Hunter King) is currently spending time in Los Angeles County, not Genoa City. That aside was a bone for viewers of CBS’ prime time sitcom ‘Life in Pieces’, where King is part of that cast as well.

The long setup that ousted Cane from one of Wisconsin’s cosmetics companies began months ago in Tokyo, Japan. Briefly, Mr. Ashby and an interpreter Vickie hired to help him pitch an Asian region deal spent an unexpected night together. Cane didn’t realize it happened, but Juliet (Laur Allen) surely did.

Miss Helton later filed a a knowingly false harassment complaint against Cane. Vickie planned to fight it, but settled this week instead. Juliet’s revealed pregnancy prevented what would have been a messy courtroom battle.

Vickie opted to fire Cane shortly after handing Juliet her get out check. That leaves Billy as the sole man in the office. Proximity on its own won’t revive ‘Villy’. But let’s not forget that Jill (Jess Walton) is back in town and ‘Mama Bear’ is a force of nature.

Most importantly, Vickie and Billy love each other and have children. Those factors, more than all others combined will always give this multiple time couple a chance at another future together.
