The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Victoria Has Another Shot At Billy – Villy Again?

With Cane (Daniel Goddard) gone, Victoria (Amelia Heinle) has another opportunity to pursue Billy (Jason Thompson) on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Of course Y&R fans know that Mr. Ashby wasn’t preventing this potential romantic revival. Instead, the one-on-one time Vickie has gained with her two-time ex-husband as a result of Cane’s termination reignites possibilities.

Cane bore the brunt of Brash and Sassy’s workload when Jill (Jess Walton) owned the company. Mrs. Atkinson bought the company as a vehicle to push Billy and Vickie back together.

Jill’s plan almost worked. But one off-handed comment Vickie made to Billy earlier this year about them never getting back together no matter what he thought or die led to a ‘Philly’ reunion.

Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) asked Billy to move in with her after he told Miss Summers what Vickie said. Phyllis does work on one of the upper floors in the same Jabot building where Brash and Sassy rents space. However, she doesn’t share the deep personal history with Billy that Vickie does.

Proximity alone won’t secure Billy’s heart. However, Vickie has no current love partner. She actually reversed course and wanted to get back together with the father of two of her children (one of whom she even adopted) shortly after telling Billy to get lost. So viewers know not to underscore the potential impact of Vickie’s ongoing interest.

Phyllis’ magnetic appeal likely won’t be easily overcome. She’s previously demonstrated an ability to hold other men’s attention and their hands in marriage.

Vickie needs to hope that Phyllis doesn’t become pregnant with Billy’s child. All who think that’s not possible must realize that this is daytime drama. She, Billy and Vickie are all written as though they are in their early 40’s (approximately).

What has been true for years remains true in 2017. Vickie loves Billy and he loves her. But would Billy be willing to commit to Vickie if he knew that she was ready to remarry him again? This author’s guess is yes.
