The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Victoria Fires Wrong Person – Juliet Is Cane’s Wild Card

Vickie (Amelia Heinle) tagged Juliet (Laur Allen) as the fall girl on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Cane (Daniel Goddard) intended to oust Billy (Jason Thompson) through his duplicitous California-based efforts, but failed. Instead, Juliet’s termination now makes her a major wild card.

Billy was willing to be the fall guy, but his two-time ex-wife wouldn’t accept his texted resignation. Then, because she had no personal in or leverage to use, Victoria told Juliet that her inability to properly handle the backstage footage recorded on Brash and Sassy’s commercial shoot resulted in her being fired.

Actually, viewers and connected characters don’t actually know what the Professional Hockey League’s Board of Governors supposedly demanded. Only Victoria holds that knowledge. So the idea that she had to fire someone because of what happened remains suspicious.

Vickie is doing all that she can to keep a lane to Billy open. After keeping him at bay for months, Miss Newman finally decided that she would allow him back into her life. While her stance was understandable, it also revealed the position of power she maintains, or maintained over Billy. Even though he’s chosen to be with Phyllis (Gina Tognoni), Vickie considers that union to be temporary.

Outsiders can be objective when it comes to the maneuverings of so-called soul mates. Such self-proclaimed love birds don’t act in fully logical ways as they performing courtship dances. Not that they should, as matters of the heart are rightfully emotional.

The above issue is seen from a different angle when the Juliet-Cane issue is considered. They weren’t romantically involved, though their actions in Japan were hardly about business.

Lily (Christel Khalil) will surely be devastated when, not if, she learns what Cane did. Juliet’s previous job title gave her incentive to remain silent about the post-sake bomb situation. However, this unexpected unemployment status changes matters and possibly, her calculation. Cane also realizes that Juliet has become a volatile player in his love life’s story.
